3500 employees of Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited have decided to go on a mass leave on 1st July 2020. They take the step after around 800 employees were given collective notice by the MD and management for various reasons. The decision is likely to have a serious impact on power supply and maintenance. Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited (MGVCL) is the leading Power Distribution Company in Gujarat which distributes electricity in the central area of Gujarat. Girish Joshi, N.U. Nayak and Mukesh Nayak from Gujarat Energy Joint Coordinating Committee formed for the agitation against this collective notice said, “Our employees are on duty every season and even this challenging times of Corona epidemic their performance has been applauded by the government and the people as well. On the other hand, M.G.V.C.L. MD Tushar Bhatt and other senior officials issued collective notices to around 800 employees for various reasons.
